C-17 at Oshkosh. I've seen this a number of times there. Good chance I was in the crowd for this particular one.

It's impressive every time.

You can be sure that she is completely empty and carrying as little fuel as is permissible. But it's still a damned amazing feat, considering that even empty she weighs over 282 lbs. I was at an air show in Houston a few years ago where the C-17 did this same display. Before takeoff, it was parked nose-in on the flight line, right near the crowd. It backed out, without a tug, using reverse thrust. I was maybe 50 yards from it, and it was one of the loudest noises I've ever experienced.
